Pit bikes come under many names THUMPSTER, PITBOSS, and MOJO to name a few. At the end of the day they all come from China or Taiwan. With so many productions lines producing similar styles and models of this design it is an absolute night mare for most people to have any idea what is good and what isn't unless you have an engineer’s eye. The ZX-1R is excellent in every way from the very potent Loncin 125cc engine to its excellent suspension, Powerful wave rotor disc brakes, free flow sports exhaust, sponge pod filter & attention to detail such as gold anodized USD alloy folks and wheels, Brass plated triple clamps, Roller bearing pivot bearings at swing arm (Not Rubber Bushes as on cheap copy's) and alloy everything else. Performance is outstanding with a fantastic exhaust note to boot. Steering geometry is nimble and very well balanced. Chain slack is held by spring loaded roller tensioner, with wheel sizes being 12" front and rear as the best balance for fast steering and stability. The ZX-1R is entirely manufactured by every component inc the engine! which then also means full spare parts support which this factory is impecably good at, which is not the case! with competitors brands such as ORION, ATOMIC, DOMINATOR to mention a few who source there parts from sub contractors that offer the best price but not necessarily quality or part numbers. Be sure that when you purchase form Zuma that what you receive is a quality product with on going support and a genuine warranty.

As a guide when purchasing a Pit Bike if it is priced under $700 it is highly likely from low quality production lines that offer no spares back up or support, also check that when the front suspension is compressed fully that the front wheel doesn't come into contact with either the engine or radiator if water-cooled, Swing arm bushes are also made of rubber another indicator of low quality.
